Sarah Beth was born Tues, May 12, 2009 at 5:42 pm! Sean drove me to the hospital last Tuesday at 6:30am to be induced. My doctor came in at around 8:00am and broke my water and the pitocin was started. I dilated to 5 around noon and was given an epidural. At that point my labor stalled. My doctor came in at 4:20p and told me if I didnt show any signs of progression w/ in the next hour she would be doing a C-Section. I prayed that I would progress b/c I did NOT want to have a c-section. When my doctor came back in a 5:20 nothing had changed. At that point a good friend had shown up and Sean called another friend on the phone so that we could have some "girl" time before I went in. That time was cut short by the staff trying to prep me. I was wheeled out of my room and Sean was told to sit in a holding area until they were ready to start the procedure. It seemed like forever before they let him come back in. Within just a couple of mins of starting the c-section Sarah Beth was here!
I got to see her above the sheet and taken over to a station where they started to clean her up. Sean got to hold her first and then she was brought over to me. Shortly after that I was taken back to recovery. At that point most of the rest of the night is a blur. Wed morning I got to really spend some wonderful time w/ my beautiful daughter and husband. B/c of the c-section I stayed in the hospital until Fri morning. This past week has gone by so fast. I cant believe she is here.
It seems like just yesterday that Sean and I were crying out to the Lord for children, then praying that I would have a healthy pregnancy. We are still in awe and life seems a little surreal at the moment. I know that the Lord is a Lord of miracles and very thankful for the miracle He blessed Sean and I with. I cant wait to see what the Lord does through Sarah Beth and our family! Sarah Beth's first picture!

Congratulations! She's beautiful. She has more hair than I've ever seen on a baby. So cute!
SHe is a beauty and the Lord does have great plans for your family!
Heather! She is beautiful!!
Elizabeth
What a beautiful girl! C-section babies are always just stunning. Funny how God's plan is always so much more than we could ever imagine. (Still reeling from that myself.) :-)
I want to see more updates!
